Total protein grams in the tub ÷ best price = grams of protein per dollar. This is the only metric that matters for value.
The product with the most protein per dollar gets 100. Every other product is scored relative to that benchmark, so rankings update automatically as prices change.
Price per tub is meaningless without knowing how much protein is inside. A $40 tub with 74 servings of 24g protein delivers 1,776g of total protein: that's much better value than a $35 tub with 30 servings of 20g protein (600g total). Value Score normalises everything to protein grams per dollar so you can compare across sizes, brands and categories.
