GMP Certified

GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices. A GMP-certified facility has been audited to confirm consistent quality control, sanitation, and record-keeping. In the US, GMP compliance is technically required by the FDA but the certification provides independent verification.

Why It Matters

GMP certification tells you the manufacturing plant follows documented procedures, has trained staff, and keeps records that allow batch-level recall if something goes wrong. It does not specifically verify what is inside your tub, but it is the foundation for everything else.

How to Spot It on a Label

GMP certification is usually on the back panel or About Us page. Common certifiers include NSF GMP, NPA (Natural Products Association) GMP, and UL GMP. Most reputable US brands carry at least one GMP certification.
