Value Score

Value Score is ProteinPrice.com's 0 to 100 ranking of how much protein you get per dollar at the current lowest price across our 12 tracked retailers. A score above 90 is excellent value. Value Score updates automatically whenever a tracked price changes.

Why It Matters

Sticker price hides the real cost of protein. A $25 tub that lasts three weeks is not actually cheap. Value Score normalizes price into grams-of-protein-per-dollar, then blends in quality factors (third-party testing, brand reliability) to give one number that captures real-world value.

How to Spot It on a Label

Value Score appears on every product page on ProteinPrice.com, in the live Best Value rankings, and across our category pages. The Value Score equals: (total protein per tub / lowest live price) normalized 0 to 100, with quality adjustments. See full methodology at /how-it-works/.
